APW - Illinois, Illini, 21J, 13S, 18K white gold OF original Illinois case by Solidarity with black enamel inlay to bezel and rear perimeter, initials to rear, gold cuvette with signature ring and 1927 presentation engraving, refinished silvered dial with applied gold numerals, SW-SS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, jeweled barrel arbor, DeLong style five tooth click, striped pattern nickel damascene, s#3868989. Gross weight of assembled watch 36.5 dwt (56.6 g). An elegant example of this high grade men's dress watch, Illinois factory marked cases are quite rare in 18K and even more so in 18K with enamel inlay.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, few micro-fine scratches, larger winding wheel with few very small bits of oxide at perimeter; refinished dial with some mild surface marks and spots; excellent hands, hour with mild bend to tip; case shows very little wear, fine scratches to rear with the most notable extending from upper perimeter into center-left of initial detail, ding to upper rear perimeter, excellent engraving detail, enameling virtually fully intact with only a tiny flake at upper-left rear; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; clean plastic crystal.
